Brief Answer: Ice+analgesics+muscle relaxants Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to musculo-skeletal pain secondary to the walking in hike. Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of ice to the affected area, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) and application of analgesic & muscle relaxant gel. You can also include supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones. If symptoms still persist, kindly visit your General Physician & get a proper clinical examination done to rule out any possibility of fracture or soft tissue injury. You also need to get X ray of the knee joint done for the same. There is no need to worry, you will be fine. Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress. Wishing you a Good Health. Please let me know if I need to clarify further. Take care.
