Brief Answer:
in most- no symptoms present

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

In the majority of persons, there are no signs or symptoms associated with increased B12 levels

In most persons, the increased levels are not associated with any significant conditions.

In some cases excess levels can be related to: (1) excess intake of supplements-most common cause
(2)some blood disorders
(3)liver disease
(4)can sometimes occur in conditions such as lupus or RA (rheumatoid arthritis)

Symptoms are related to the cause of the increase Vitamin b12 not the increase itself eg if the increase due to liver disease then there would be symptoms related to the liver
If have lupus as the cause of the increase then would have lupus related symptoms

If there is no known cause of the increase or due to excess supplements, there maybe no symptoms seen

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

I recently got diagnose with POTS Syndrome back in April and when my doctor did lab work on May my b12 levels was elevated. Then at the end of July it is still elevated. So now she is cornered and sending me to see a hematologist doctor for further work up. Can my b12 actually be very like but my body is not absorbing it? I don’t take any supplements with b12 in it. I don’t drink caffeine or energy drinks. I never have. I have a lot of symptoms going on but i know a lot of symptoms is from having POTS. Can my b12 issue be linked with POTS?

Brief Answer:
not known to be linked to POTS

Detailed Answer:
HI

The hematologist or your doctor can do a work up re the high B12 but it is quite possible no abnormalities/conditions would be found

Part of the work up would include kidney and liver function blood tests, autoimmune screen and possibly imaging of the abdomen.
In many persons, these tests are normal and no significant reason for the increase is found

It is not known to be linked to POTS
