Dear Sir,
Thank you for posting your query on XXXXXXX
Well looking into the problem I will like to tell you that in Gastric mucosal prolapse is a condition in which a part of the mucosa of the stomach herniates into the esophagus which can lead to massive hemorrhage . If the prolapse is significant then it needs to be treated with laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication , pyloroplasty etc.
It needs to be decided by your treating surgeon for the decision to wait and watch or undertake the surgery . It will be decided on the amount of area prolapsed or which part is involved . I will advise you to see a gastrosurgeon for this .
Take care.
Dr. Shruti
