Brief Answer:
This is given to prevent bleeding.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

Regestrone contains Norethisterone, a progestogen hormone. It can be used to prevent pregnancy, normalize the menstrual cycle, help correct heavy bleeding, particularly after polyp removal .

Hence, it is generally prescribed after hysteroscopic procedures.
