Question : There is a patch of skin on me penile shaft. I'm not sure if its dry skin, or something more serious.

Looks like a wart, needs the removal

I have reviewed the attached photograph and it seems to be a wart.

It is a viral infection of the skin.

I would recommend you to consult a dermatologist and get it removed either by electrocauterization or chemical cauterization.

Does that mean I have HPV? Is it contagious?

Also the affected area returned to normal color after I put lotion on it.
