                                            Question : I have diverticulosis.  I have had a bowel resection because it it, in 2007.  Now I have pain in my lower left abdomen.  I have not had a attack since 2007.  May I take Cipro until I see my Doctor tomorrow? Today is Sunday

if you haven't used any quinolone in the recent past (3-4 months before), then you can use this antibiotic. If you've got fever then you'd better start treatment at once, unless you've got any contraindications for quinolones. Adding metronidazole to the regimen would help more.
