What Medication Can Be Taken For Throat Pain, Cold, Runny Nose, Fever And Severe Body Aches?
Question: Hi,
I am 34 years old female and since last night i have pain in my throat and then cold n running nose started. In the morning,I had fever of 98.9 and hence didnt take any medicines.
However now my fever has gone upto 100.5 and i just took Crocin advance.Is it ok to take this or do i need to take any other medicine as well.I do have severe bodyache as well.

You are suffering from Upper Respiratory tract infection (URTI), which is mostly viral in nature.
For URTI, I advise taking an antibiotic like Azithromycin only in case a person has persisting fever or throat looks infected on examination.
Otherwise, in most cases, URTI is due to viral infection and it gets better within 5 days.
You can continue with Crocin Advance as per your need.
Add an anti-allergic like Levocetirizine, that would help with a cold and running nose as well.
Do warm saline gargles, they help greatly in URTI.

Thanks for ur reply.I stay in XXXXXXX I am still having fever of 99.4.Do u suggest any blood tests to be conducted?Or it will be ok post taking the antibiotic suggested by u.
