Question : Hi, My mother has tested positive for COVID. Her temperature is 99 and she has minor throat irritation.

It is regular symptom of covid to have throat irritation. You can give her paracetamol 650 mg 1 tablet 6 hourly and povidine iodine throat gargling 3 times a day. If symptoms persists for more than 3- 4 days she would need to consult doctor in person to get antibiotics prescribed. Give her lot of fluids and vitamin c rich food like citrus fruits and green leafy vegetables
