Brief Answer:
Can be bursitis or arthritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A pain in the right buttock that you have can be related to osteoarthritic changes in the hip joint or bursitis. Proper diagnosis needs a direct examination and an MRI scan of the hip joint. Right now you can start taking Tablet Tylenol ( Acetaminophen) Double Strength after breakfast and after dinner. It is suggested to add calcium supplements 500mg each twice daily. This will take care of your mild symptoms in 3-5 days.
In case the pain is persistent then do consult an orthopedician for proper diagnosis and prescription medicines.
I hope this answers your query.
