Question: I have sinus ache behind my nose followed by nausea, with smell sensitivity of smoke when no one else in the house smells smoke, then on comes dizziness and I have notice my vision for reading has significantly changed about a few months ago to which I have had to get reading glasses. My Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist ruled out any sinus or inner ear problem and referred me to my GP for possible migraine that might be causing all these recent systoms?

Brief Answer:
Probably migraine, follow the advice below

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to phantosmia which is a condition that makes a person smell odors that are not present.
Based on the fact that you have already ruled out any possible ear or sinus problem,it might possibly be migraine causing this condition.
A neurological examination is necessary to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, some advice that I can give to you is:
-use painkillers such as ibuprofen 400mg for the pain
-take magnesium and vitamin b12 supplements
-drink liquids
-caffeine can be helpful migraine
-worm showers can be helpful
-avoid stress

Hope my answer was helpful.
