Brief Answer:
Precautions to reduce acidity

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Following precautions can be taken to reduce acidity:
- Reduce the intake of foods that cause acidity e.g. bread, spices, fizzy / carbonated drinks, fried foods, tea, coffee
- Take more of "basic" foods that neutralize acidity e.g. milk, banana, water melons
- Take meals at same time every day
- Amount of food should be less than the size of stomach (size of fist)
- Take a walk, sit upright or lie on left side after meals
- Gooseberry (Amla) and lime water also help
- Drink water an hour before or after food so that acid is utilized for digestion

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
