Brief Answer:
You can travel in plane with your 1 month old baby - suggestions

Detailed Answer:
Hi...I previously gave you a suggestion about how to increase the Enfamil feed.

Assuming that both mother and baby are healthy, you can travel at two weeks of age. I will tell you certain issues and precautions too.

There are certain issues to take into account when deciding to fly with a newborn.

1. Exposure to infections - You are exposing the baby to possible infections on a crowded airplane. Colds and flus are easily transmitted in a closed airplane cabin with recirculated air, and those viruses are much more dangerous to a baby.

2. Unpredictable baby behavior - Babies are notoriously unpredictable in the first few weeks, with irregular sleeping, feeding, and crying times. Sometimes babies take 3 month sot come out of this unpredictable behavior.

3. Your health - Mom should be healthy and recovered from the delivery. If you travel this early, you should wear support hose, drink plenty of fluids, and get up frequently during the flight to walk and stretch.

Precautions to be taken -

1. You can keep feeding her either direct breast feeds or keep a pacifier in the baby's mouth - so that the jaws keep moving and the ears wont get blocked.

2. Keep the baby's ears blocked with a soft wisp of cotton and it should be easily removable.
