What Ringing In Right Ear In A Patient Suffering From Nasal Congestion?

Question: I have a cold with a throat infection and nasal congestion. my right ear started ringing today after i took a shower, about 4 hours ago. the ringing has not stopped. Is the ringing related to the nasal/sinus congestion and is there a chance it will go away or stop?
