Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
It is very unfortunate for you that the pills did not work, because generally, these pills fail to work in only 4 % of cases.
Repeated abortions, either medical or surgical, can have some complications.
First is the risk of adhesions / infection inside the uterus or tubes that can lead to difficulty in future conception.
Excessive bleeding can lead to weakness and damage to the tissues.
There is a minor risk of injury / perforation of the uterus while going for surgical abortion.
During surgical abortion excessive uterine tissues might be sometimes taken out, leading to sterility again.
Also, the psychological impact of having repeated abortions can impact your mental wellbeing.
It is always better to use a reliable method of birth control, rather than going for repeated abortions.
That said, when carried out under medical supervision and by expert certified doctors, the risks are very rare.
All the risks I mentioned are just to let you know that these CAN happen, the truth is they very rarely DO happen.
So go ahead for the procedure being relaxed, however, avoid unplanned pregnancies in future.
All the best

Yes. I had visited the same gynaecologist as the first time . yes a sonography was done and as calculated from last periods it was 5 weeks 5 days old. I took on pill on 30th may in doctor's clinic only and then took One ondem tablet at 7am today and 2 misoprostal 200mcg at 8am. I vomited at around 8.30 - 8.45am. After which there was no bleeding but there was cramping and pain. Still i took 2 mifepristone 200mcg at 11.30pm and 1.30pm resp. But just few drops of bleeding till now

I fail to understand why this anxiety then.
After taking the pills, you have to wait for 24 - 48 hours for bleeding to start.
It is not even 24 hours yet, so how did you decide that the pills have failed, and you need surgical abortion ?
According to me , you need to repeat 2 more Misoprostol ( not mifepristone , please mention correct names ) , as you vomited .
Just take 2 more tablets of misoprostol, and then wait for 24 - 48 hours.
Failure of pills can be said only after 15 days, after having an ultrasound scan to check if products are still inside.
