Question : My 8 years old son has stomach pain for past 5 hours. Sometimes it increases and decreases also. He many times has vomitted also. When ever I give him something even water, after that he vomits. We have him 4 ml of emeset 2 mg syrup and within 15 minutes he vomitted. What shall I do ? Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Give 8 ml of emeset syrup, if vomiting persists please take him to emergenc

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Frequent vomiting can cause dehydration. 4 ml of emeset syrup will not give the desired effect. I request you to give 8 ml of emeset syrup.Wait for about 20-30 minutes. If vomiting persists please take him to emergency room as in such case iv fluid and iv injection for vomiting will be needed.
If there is no vomiting give 1/ tablet of meftal spas and 5 ml of rantac syrup.
In case you notice any significant complaint like persistence of pain, frequent loose stools, abdominal distension or poor tolerance to fluid please consult a pediatrician.
