Question: Yes, I took my 80 year father to a natural hot springs he was in the hot water for over 30 minutes when he got out he had what I believe to be a seizure. He was unresponsive for a few minutes. I kept calling his name and his eyes rolled back in his head. He finally came to and we gave him some water to drink and let him sit. He then got sick to his stomach, but to my knowledge he never vomited. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
Absent seizure

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

From what you had described your father seem to have had absence type of seizure attack. Seizure is a symptom of something of going. It needs to be investigated further the reasons. Most time you would not be able to find the cause as well.

We cannot ascertain if the hot springs had caused it.
A battery of investigations need to be taken like blood counts, electrolytes, sugar along with EEG to confirm the seizure attack.
You should meet a doctor first and describe it well. A well thorough history can confirm the seizure attack.

Thanks.
