Question : I fell 2 weeks ago and slammed into the bottom of the stairs so hard I had a compound fracture of my elbow, it was really bad. I have 2 plates and rods and lost some bone. But what I'm wondering is my neck hurts as well as my back, and today my low back is killing me. My legs are feet are swolleaswell. Also have nasty headache. Nothing else was checked. What should I do?
Brief Answer:
Can be soft tissue injury or muscle spasm.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The pain in neck and back that you have can be due to a muscle spasm or disc related problem. The swelling in legs and feet need an evaluation to find the cause. There can be a soft tissue injury in the neck and back also. You can start with an oral muscle relaxant, mild pain killer like Aleve and a hot compress in the area. In case the pain is persistent then you need to consult an orthopedist for a direct examination and specific medicines.
I hope this answers your query. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
