Question : please l took augumetin for a relief against prolonged sore throat after finishing the dose now am having fever so what do l do

Welcome to Ask a doctor's service. I read your query and here is my advice.

If you are now having sore throat and fever after using Augmentin first this means that you may be have a resistant throat infection. The best way to act now is to do a throat culture to check for cocci. The antibiogram will show the best antibiotic which can be used to treat it.

If you were my patient and if you find it impossible to do a throat culture I would have treated you empirically with ceftriaxone intramuscular.
