Question : One of my friends is suffering from an eye infection for the last 15 days. Age 44 years - Female. On speaking to a doctor, he advised Mymox 500 for 5 days and applying Neomycin ointment After this, although the pain and swelling has reduced, the problem still remains. Please advise suitable medication

Hi,
It seems like a resolving chalazion, which will probably settle in few more days.
As of now continue neomycin ointment, after cleaning with clean water.
No additional drugs are needed. Hot fomentation with a clean cloth will help with faster recovery.
