What Should Be Done From Bleeding From Lipoma?

default
Posted on Tue, 8 Jul 2014
Question: Hi I had sent you a picture of what may be an insect bite or cyst or infected lipoma Since I closed the inquiry I noticed my pajama top had some blood from the area. My husband said the black dot is defiantly not a freckle but the seeping is not from where the black dot is and it looks like it could be extracted where the seeping is. Anyway should we try to do that and forget going to have a surgeon do it My husband says it looks like has gone down a tad. I have had lipomas and severely dsyplastic molds removed before but not like this one

Brief Answer:
Need to get further evaluated by surgeon...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

Thank you for following up.

If you noticed blood on your pajama, then, it is time to get your lipoma checked by surgeon. Most probably, the infected site is leaking blood (and perhaps pus mixed with blood). Although the size of surrounding of lipoma will go down, however, lipoma (the mass) will be still there and need surgical intervention.

As you have a previous history of lipomas, it is better to get it checked by the surgeon.

Hope it answered to your query! Let me know if I can assist you further!
