Brief Answer:
Hypothyroidism - needs treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi Behera,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Your TSH is high, which is seen in under active thyroid (hypotyroidism). You need to repeat the TSH along with thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) - Thyroid function test. We start treatment (thyroid hormone replacement) when TSH is more than 10 miu/ml.

Additional test we do in thyroid disease are anti thyroid antibodies (Anti TPO) and ultrasound thyroid to find out the cause of thyroid disease.

Don't worry, it is an easily treatable condition.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

With warm regards,
Dr Ajish TP (MD,DM)
