Question : I HAVE HAD A SEVERE PAIN IN MY UPPER LEFT ABDOMEN FOR 2 YEARS NOW. MY PCP TELLS ME ITS ALL IN MY HEAD. HE HAS DONE CT SCANS, MRI, XRAYS, BLOOD WORK, COLONOSCOPY, ACCUPUNTURE AND NOTHING HAS HELPED. IT IS A TREMENDOUS PAIN THAT I HAVE ALL THE TIME. NOT SOMETIMES ALL DAY EVERYDAY. SOME DAYS HOWEVER THE PAIN IS NOT HORRIBLE ALL DAY JUST SOMETIMES BUT FOR THE MOST PART THE PAIN IS BAD. NEWER SYMPTOMS I FEEL SICK TO MY STOMACH, MY STOMACH HURTS LIKE I HAVE A TUMMY ACHE AND I AM TIRED ALL THE TIME DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT THIS COULD BE?

Hello,.

Your symptoms seem to be related to psychosomatic pain.
If a physical condition were causing your pain it would probably have appeared in one of the examinations that you have done.
Stress and anxiety are commonly the cause of psychosomatic pain.
So,the most important thing is to reduce stress on the daily basis.
Some other advice that I can give to you are :
-use herbs that reduce stress like chamomile
-practice stretching and muscle exercises
