Question: I feel like my abdomen is dissented. There are definite points of discomfort. hot spots near the navel that get worse during the day. When I sleep I don't much notice. When I wake up it is just ok but as the day wears on I notice the hot spots near the navel. If I eat it gets a little better and if I drink a few beers etc it gets better. I have had these symptoms for about 6 weeks. Prior to that, around 8 weeks ago, I had rectal bleeding for 4 days that just went away. In the morning I would have that but after that nothing until the next morning. I do have hemmorids and something else called diverticulitis, fatty liver disease and pre-diabetes. I also take Atenolol and Lisinopril for Hyerptension. . I did have a umbilical hernia mesh with a surgery around 7 years ago.

Brief Answer:
CT scan of abdomen recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hi

After hearing your history I would advise you to do CT scan of abdomen and a blood test for CEA.

If any space occupying lesion is found in scan then you have to do a biopsy test to rule out malignancy
