Hello,

If your wife has not visited a doctor yet for antenatal check up please do it. She needs to get dating and nuchal translucency scan now. They check foetal anatomy for any abnormalities as well. Besides there are certain blood tests to check for Down syndrome and other defects called quadruple test at 18 weeks.

She has to start Iron supplements, Calcium supplements as well.
