Brief Answer:
As stated due to sinuses, also nasal passages.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As you stated, it is likely from your sinuses and also nasal passage (back aspect).

In most people, when the symptoms have been going on for a long time, there is a source or the person is reacting to something. It may be a food, drink, animal dander, pollen etc

Though steroid nasal sprays (eg nasonex, nasocort, flonase, rhinocort) can be very helpful for these symptoms, they would need to be combined with an antihistamine/decongestant combination at least. Some persons require more than that.

The anti histamine/decongestant combination can sometimes take 2 to 3 weeks to take effect in some persons, must be used consistently unless the source of the reaction is found and eliminated. Eg zytec d, allegra d, claritine d

Some persons may also require montelukast, if the anti histamine combination with the steroid nasal spray, is not helpful.

I hope this helps.
