What Would Cause A False Positive For THC While On Pain Pills And Medication For CFS, Diarrhea And Migraine?

Question: hi I have been just beside my self I have chronic pain and I can back that up with results from the mayo clinic I have ME/ CFS. my general dr is not good with pain meds so I sought out a pain specialist. Problem is my urine keeps coming back positive for thc , I am not against those who use it but I am NOT one of those people but I am on so many meds I have no Idea what is causing the false positive. i take zolpidem 5mg nightly duloxetine 60 mg.metoprolol suc 100 mg amitriptyline 10 mg,clonazepam 1 mg 3x a day, levothyroxine 175 mcg,calcitriol 0.5 mcg 3x per day vitamin D 50000uni, lyrica200mg x3 qd,cyanocobalam 100/c im,q month,atorvastatin 10 mg qd,hydroco/apap 5/325 6qd prn, pantoprazole E 40mg,levocetirizine 5 mg qd my over the counter meds include voltaren gel as needed for pain prn, mucinex,aspirin 81 mg qd ,loratadine 20 mg qd ,probiotics 20 strains, anti-diarrheal 2mg 1-2 per day, calcium 1200 mg plus vitamin D3 25 mg ultimate iron mg? echinacea & goldenseal root 450 mg qd, calcium&magnesium& potASSIUM 500MG,500MG,99 MG,AND ACETAMINOPHEN,ASPIRIN & CAFFEINE WHEN I GET THE REALLY BAD MIGRAINES SO PRN FLUCONAISE TWO PUFFS 2X A DAY QD, ANY AND ALL HELP WITH THIS WOULD BE HUGE SO i CAN PROVE THEM WRONG AND HAVE A QUALITY OF LIFE WITH MY FAMILY AND DO MY OWN ADL'S I BEG YOU PLEASE PLEASE HELP!PLEASE. Hi,

There are two groups of urine tests. One is a cardboard dipstick the other is a highly advanced molecular one. If it is the dipstick one, just get the better test. Hair can be tested for drugs only by the better test and this tests for any drug for the entire time the hair was growing (months).

The clonazepam with narcotics is generally not done and has been shown to be hazardous lately (by a not very good study).

Large amounts of things that have a wide variety of different chemicals (probiotics and supplements) are more likely to cross-react and mess up detection tests. What is exactly in them that messes up the tests are not defined.

Hi, So how do I prove to this Dr that I am not getting thc in anyway, shape or form? At this point I don't even want the meds I want to know what is going on with me that I am showing up positive when I know I haven't done anything wrong? I am a mom and a grandma of two beautiful girls ages 9 and 11. I have always been against drugs even to this day my grandkids know that nana would not be happy if they were doing drugs. I don't want them thinking their nana does drugs when I don't. So I guess are you saying insist that I have a hair growth test? and are they real costly?

Hi,

Hair testing. You can get it done yourself.

But when it shows you did not have THC stop there.

You won't be able to find with any surety what caused the test to misfire. Foods/supplement might show up on a dipstick as THC, but there's a lot of things in the urine and you won't ever be able to find out exactly what did it.

300 is an upper ballpark price.
