Brief Answer:
Various causes

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir,

I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but chronic high blood pressure not responding to medications can lead to various complications including increasing the risk of having a stroke. However, it could be secondary to other health problems such as renal, thyroid or adrenal gland disorders and diabetes..

Si I would recommend that you get a blood test of your blood glucose level (both fasting and postprandial), HbA1C, thyroid hormonal profile including T3, T4 and TSH, kidney functions including urea and creatinine and catecholeamines profile to exclude these causes.. If all these causes were excluded then you should refer to you doctor to check on your cardiac functions via echocardiogram and to either change the preparation of your antihypertensive medication or increase the dose of the current ones.. your doctor may also add diuretics after checking on your kidney functions.

I hope you find this helpful
