Question: My finger tips and finger nails have a yellow tint. This just started today. What would cause this?

Yellow tips & fingernails can be an indication of Jaundice/lung disease causing low oxygen to the nails / Diabetes / kidney disease - leading to raised bilirubin in blood/nail infection with fungi or psoriasis/ Zink or iron deficiency can cause it..
Yellow staining without these major aliments can be simple handling of yellow color, habit of chewing tobacco/ smoking ( handling of tobacco) can stain finger tips & nails yellow from faint yellow to brown.
So finding of the cause consists of analyzing to your activity & health conditions with needful range of investigations followed by needful cause specific treatment.
