Hello,

Well, CBC is the basic investigation to analyze any kind of disorder in our body. Even in the case of lymphoma, it may only show whether there is any anemia (decreased HgB / Hct), overall body's immunity status (from the WBC counts and differentials) and overall bone marrow functioning (from the platelet counts).

ESR is another non-specific marker of inflammation which may or may not be elevated in case of lymphoma. These are the primary set of investigations based on which, definitive and more specific investigations can be decided.

The definite way to diagnose lymphoma would be by immunophenotyping and lymph node biopsy along with bone marrow aspiration and cytology study.
