Question : I took a fish oil capsule hours ago and it didn’t sit right on my stomach afterwards. Now my stomach is cramping my body is aching and I had a bowel movement. I’m concerned cause the seal wouldn’t close after I opened the bottle. What’s going on possibly?? If or when should I be concerned about this? Does the seal not closing mean it could have been tampered with?

These capsules may cause stomach discomfort and bowel irritation but in most cases, this is just slight and temporary. It should be better after 12-24hours when digestion is over. If you had a bowel movement, this is a good sign.

If your bowel movement is absent for 2 days, or you vomit unstoppably then you should seek medical attention. Otherwise, just drink plenty of fluids and have an easier diet.
