Question : I have a herniated disc at l4-l5 (and bulging at l3-s1). With degenerative discs. Im a 34 yo athlete. I suddenly have heavy legs for one month. There was initial pain but now just like my legs are moving through mud. And now my arms feel heavy? Or are they de conditioned? Because i cant exercise really. All blood tests normal. Brain mri normal. What now? Whats wrong with me?
Brief Answer:
Spinal cord compression to take into consideration.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read your query.
In such a setting, since the brain MRI, and blood tests resulted normal, the problem may be a compression of the spinal cord.
In my opinion, an MRI of your spinal cord (mostly of your cervical and thoracic spine) is necessary in order to understand correctly your condition.
Conditions to consider in your case include herniated discs, vascular malformations, or other lesions that may cause compression.
Discuss with a Neurologist these issues.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
