Brief Answer:
it is not toxic
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.
In case the pain is not tolerable you can go for half tablet of 15 mg oxycodone at a replacement to dilaudid 4 mg tablet. Classically it has been said that compared to morphine, hydromorphone (dilaudid) is 4 times stronger, Oxycodone is 1.5-2 times stronger.
Till you refill your supply you can use the oxycodone as an alternative and following refilling continue your previous dosing schedule of dilaudid.
'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help".
