Brief Answer:
check before lasik surgery and corneal considerateness. dry eye

Detailed Answer:
Hi

You can take second opinion.

First suitability is to be assessed. Refraction is to be done if there is seviour astigmatism then it may create problem for surgery. So with refraction the refractory surgeon is to be consulted. Future complication like posterior corneal dystrophy is to be assessed. If history of corneal dystrophy then it can be avoided any other corneal disease like allergy and viral keratitis or corneal ulcer is to be ruled out. There may be contraindication. Dry eye syndrome or Sjogrens syndrome is to be ruled out. They are for contraindication slit lamp examination of all 7 layers of cornea is to be examined. Any autoimmune disorder with effecting anterior chamber or flare in aqueous is to be ruled out. KP in cornea and IOT is to be noted and glaucoma ruled out. Proper fundus examination to rule out retinopathy and retinal tear or hole . General examination to rule out hypertension and diabetes , corneal thickness.Best of general health is important.

Hope it helps.
