Question : hi my delivered baby boy on XXXXXXX 16th 2014 and tubectomy also got done on 21st XXXXXXX still she has not her regular periods. pls suggest.

Thanks for writing to us.

If she is undergoing EXCLUSIVE BREAST FEEDING to her baby for initial 6 months or thereafter, then she DOESN'T get her regular period.

It is quite physiological and called LACTATION AMENORRHEA (No period while on breast feeding). It also acts as contraception and gives higher protection.

She will resume her regular period after stopping breast feeding. Until then, you needn't to be worried much. Practice protected sex during this time to avoid MINIMAL chance of unwanted pregnancy.
