Question : If I take norethisterone to delay my July period by 2 weeks, when will my August period start? Would it be 4 weeks from my last period, or four weeks from when I should have started (had I not delayed it)? Hope that makes sense :/ Just briefly, I would be due on on 10 July so thinking of taking norethisterone 7 July and stop taking on 21 July - coming on hopefully by 24/25 July. My holiday is 4 August-16 August... Hope you can help!!

                                    Brief Answer:
It will be very unpredictable to be very true.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
It will be very unpredictable to be very true.
Unfortunately changing the hormone pattern by taking tablets like norethisterone changes the whole cycle in a very unpredictable way.
But mostly what happens is you get periods by 7 days of stopping norethisterone.

                                    Hi
Thank you for your speedy response.
I appreciate you advising me of when I am likely to start after I stop taking the Norethisterone, but I knew this, and I also know it is unpredicatable.
My question however was whether my next period in August (after the one from when I stop taking Norethisterone in July) would follow my new cycle or whether it would follow from when I should have started orginally.
To clarify again - I will be taking norethisterone to delay my July period. Because I have delayed it, will this delay the next one, or will I start when I should have (i.e. if I hadn't taken norethisterone).
I am happy to answer any questions for clarity, but I really need the answer to reflect my question.
Thank you.

Yes it will delay next one
Detailed Answer:
ok i got your question.
Yes it will delay the next cycle also and a new pattern will set in . it will not follow the dates which you use to have without ethisterone
