Question : HI I have been off Benadryl (25mg per night for 18 months) for 16 days. My blood pressure is 162/78. I no longer have headaches but will the BP come down? I had been given BP meds but headaches were intense. If it comes down how long? Thanks

Brief Answer:
It may or may not come down....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

At this age, possibility of blood pressure getting down to normal is low. However I would monitor the blood pressures a month or two after starting blood pressure medicines.

Since you have history of diabetes and high blood pressure, I would also like you base line evaluation of heart done. Discuss with your treating physician.

Hope this answered your query. Let me know if you need clarifications.
