Question : I had a negative lupus like inhibitor test on 03/20/2015 on 09/05/2015 I had a positive lupus like inhibitor test why would the first one be negative and the second one be positive

It is quite possible that earlier you don't have inhibitors.

It may be possible that earlier you may have no inhibitor or very low level of inhibitor that gives negative result. But later on you may develop inhibitors or increased the level of inhibitors thst gives positive results.

Attached are my lab results the only reason i had these tests are because my brother had a pe and he was diagnosed with the lupus anticoagulant so the doctor advised all siblings to get tested i am 37 years old male and i take aspirin 81mg and 1000 mg krill oil to prevent blood clots is that a good idea

You are at risk of thrombosis so you need prophylactic anticoagulant.

Your lupus like inhibitor test is positive and you also have family history of thrombotic events.

You should take prophylactic treatment with anticoagulant. Aspirin is good option. It has protective role in clot prevention. More over Krill oil is also helpful. It contain polyunsaturated fatty acids. It has also anti oxidant effect.

No need to worry. Just be relaxed. Continue with aspirin as per your doctor's advice.

Do u think the aspirin and krill oil is enough or do i need warfarin

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have family history of PE. You are tested positive with lupus like inhibitors. So you need prophylactic anticoagulant therapy. Low dose aspirin is sufficient to prevent thrombotic events. No need of warferin at this stage.

Continue with aspirin and krill oil.
