Question : Hello Sir/Mam my wife has taken mankind kit for abortion.Initially she took mifepristone 200mg and after a gap of 48hrs she took two misoprostol 200mcg/each buccally then within 4hrs she had some blood drops and some white shells like thing coming out. then nothing happened no bleeding at all then after next 12hrs she took remaining two misoprostol tablets from the kit assuming that bleeding will happen in sometime but nothing happened till now as 8hours passed now.we follow the same steps given on your website as well as in that kit. so what to do now we are very much worried? whether we should take one more time misoprostol or we should wait? but we do not want to go to hospital.

You need to wait for another 16 hours because in all protocols we give MTP kit under supervision and see for bleeding.
In case bleeding is not seen or no passage of tissue per vaginum then misoprostol 400 ug can be administered 24 hours after the last misoprostol dose.
So juat wait till then and in case nothing is expelled then repeat the dose as explained.

thank you so much Mam, MTP is the same thing which i have given her(that Mankind kit)?and if nothing happened in next 16 hours then i hav to give misoprotol again vaginally or orally? can u explain how to take it again? any special timing ?

Mam as i hv given her two misoprostol inside her vagina today afternoon and after two hours she started very slight bleeding and its been 6hrs she is bleeding but very slight(very low)no tissue or anyother thing is coming out and no heavy bleeding ..so what to do next mam?. In that time she will definitely expell the tissue by then but in case she doesn't then we will have to get a transvaginal ultrasound to see for retained products of conception or an empty uterus due to unrecognized passage of products from vagina.

Its been 32hrs she has changed only 3-4pads till now and still bleeding and some times white jelly type thing also coming out but bleeding is very low...as compared to another cases i read which is available here on this site (Mam does it happen in 1st week pregnancy or so? )Is abortion done /complete? or we hav to go for Ultrasound? Mam plz guide us in detail whats going on here? We are very worried .

Her gestation was small and also some tissue at times gets while using the loo so most probably it is all going as we desired so nothing to worry now.
