Brief Answer:
No way to wrongly be syphilis if tested positive for herpes.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
There is no way that a positive swab test for herpes comes to be syphilis.
The doctor took the fluid from a sore and send it to the laboratory and they use completely different methods for herpes and syphilis. So there is no way to wrong results between herpes and syphilis.
A positive herpes test is highly sensitive and specific for it.
