When Is It Safe To Have Sex After A D&C Procedure?

Question: I had a D&C a month ago due to a miscarriage. I have had sex since and had no problems, tonight I had sex and during I had heavy cramping feeling. It has continued to come and go over the last few hours. Am I completely healed since my D&C?
