Brief Answer: Soon after confirmation by UPT Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. First scan should be done soon after confirming pregnancy by urine pregnancy test (UPT). In this scan a gestation ring (pregnancy sac) can be noticed. This confirms the pregnancy and also to make sure that the pregnancy is intrauterine. regards,
