When Laying Down Or Sitting, I Feel A Pressure Below

Question: When laying down or sitting, I feel a pressure below right shoulder blade, more towards armpit and in back. No pain and only on that side. I'm worried it's liver inflammation or something.

Hi,
May I know how long have you been dealing with this pain? Can you describe the pain - a dull ache or burning sensation?
What other symptoms do you have beside the pain - nausea, abdominal fullness or vomiting or fever?
Awaiting your response...

No pain at all. Just a strange pressure sensation that has been going on a couple weeks but sometimes more noticeable than other time. No other symptoms associated with it. Can I at least rule out liver inflammation? Its up near my right shoulder blade near armpit.
Brief Answer:
not specific to liver inflammation....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The area of discomfort you referring to is not specific to a liver pathology. Liver inflammation causes pain at the right upper abdomen below the ribs and not at the shoulder blade close to armpit. What you may have is a muscular pain or sometimes a lung condition. I would suggest to try over the counter pain medication and see if you get better; else a clinical examination and chest xray will be needed.
A liver function tests that also test liver enzymes will rule out liver inflammation if you still feel it is due to liver issue. You can discuss it with your treating doctor.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
