Hello,

The pregnancy kits that are available test a hormone in the urine. So they are better if used as soon as you miss periods, if regular time is predictable. If you have a strong feeling about pregnancy you can repeat the test after every 3 days as the chances of pregnancy detection increases.

Suppose you do not have regular periods and unable to time the periods well then you better get a serum HCG test at a local lab which will confirm pregnancy.

If you have had period already after your last intercourse then there is no chance of pregnancy. If you had intercourse after your last menstrual then you have to wait to miss the period to test with urine.
