Read detail answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for query.

Here I will highlight about the semen and its transport to exterior (Outside body) through penis.
The Semen constitutes 4 components
1) Sperms produced by Testis
2) Seminal fluid secreted by seminal vesicle containing mainly fructose to provide energy to sperms for swimming and to move forward.
3) Prostatic fluid secreted by prostate which is alkaline in nature and guard sperms from acidic vaginal fluid and Prostatic Specific antigen which liquefies semen which otherwise is very thick immediately after ejaculation.
4) Precum or a mucus secreted by Bulbo Urethral Glands located in Bulbar part of urethra which acts as a lubricant for smooth passage of thick semen through urethra to outside while being ejaculated .

The sperms which constitute 5% of semen volume is transmitted from the testis through a tube Vas Difference which dilates at it's terminal in to a pouch called Ampulla .The sperms are stored here and can remain there for months together before they are being ejaculated through a opening called Ejaculatory duct..

The ducts of seminal vesicle join the Ejaculatory duct before it opens in to prostate at a summit called Utricle ,

To summarize I would state that the sperms are stored in terminal dilated part of Ductus Difference (Ampulla of Vas Difference) and seminal fluid in seminal vesicle before it is ready to be ejaculated .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Hello
Thanks for follow up .They are stagnant and non motile as long as they are stored in Ampula of Vas difference before they are ejaculated .They get mixed with seminal fluid during ejaculation and the fructose in the seminal vesicles fluid provide energy to sperms for swimming and to move forward.

Thanks and Regards.

Okay. So the sperm doesn't move until you feel the ejaculation coming that's when it mixes with semen and then goes down the tube and out the penis? So when you feel it coming is when the sperm move?

They start moving after getting mixed with seminal fluid and expelled out either in vagina or outside .The movements of the sperm can not be visualized by naked eye .

The movements of the sperms can be seen only on microscopic examination .

Yes. But what I'm trying to ask is, if there stored in the ampulla. Do they stay there until ejaculation. Or does it start happening when you become sexually excited prior to ejaculation? Sorry if I wasn't clear.
Like if you are halfway through intercourse. But have been sexually stimulated for about 10 minutes. Is the sperm still in the ampulla or has it already been mixed with the semen. If it has already been mixed then were is the semen until being shot out?
