Question : Good Evening, I am the Mom of an 18 year old healthy young man. He has recently found that he cannot get any type of erection (tough to talk about) but he cannot get any erection, even with his girlfriend. There have been no problems in the past, he has no discomfort. He is very concerned about this, and I am concerned about his health. he works out about 5 times per week, and also drinks Whey protein shakes, I wondered if that could cause any of this? Any help is most appreciated!!!!

I read your query and here is my advice.

I don't think that whey protein shakes can affect the ED . Ask him if he also is taking anabolic steroids to build up muscles because they can cause erectile dysfunction.
He may need to stop all supplements he is taking in order to be sure that he is not taking anabolic steroids which can cause ED.
Also stress and anxiety may affect his situation. Talking more to his girlfriend and building a healthy communication may help him with ED.
If he doesn't see improvement after stopping the supplements then further tests should be done to check hormone levels.
