Brief Answer:
should get the tests done for sure

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr. XXXXXXX thanks for trusting health care magic.
Your wife is aged 30 years which is considered a high risk factor in view of chromosomal abnormalities and thus genetic defects causing various congenital abnormalities and thus needs proper evaluation.
In case you don't want to get these tests then the option is to get a 3D sonogram done.
But 3D sonogram is best at 24 weeks of pregnancy and in case (I hope not) there is any abnormality detected then she will have to carry the child till term because according to the guidelines of XXXXXXX MTP Act any pregnancy even if abnormal cannot be terminated.
So crux is it will be best if you get both the 2D ultrasound and triple marker test as advised.
In case you have any questions related to this, please feel free to ask, I will be glad to answer.

Brief Answer:
16-18 weeks

Detailed Answer:
You are most welcome sir.
First get level 2 ultrasound done and fetch the report and then give sample for triple marker because triple marker reporting needs the ultrasound report.
Difference between both the tests should not be more than 7 days.
In case there is any abnormality in triple marker then she will need amniocentesis which is an invasive test where amniotic fluid is taken from the uterus via a long needle under ultrasound guidance.
Ideal time for getting triple test is from 16-18 weeks of pregnancy.
Get the test done and then we can discuss further management accordingly.
All the best.
