Question : Hi sir, I'm dark n after consulting dermatologist he advised me to apply skin lite cream and it's really good when I applied it. And I'm using it from 4 years. I stopped using it from 3days n I can feel the difference n my face become too darker. N I have seen few reviews they were like kojic acid I good for hyperpigmentation. But kojic acid is also an acid same like skin lite. Plz lemme me know the difference n which will be better. N plz tell me weather to continue with skin lite r do u want me to try kojic cream. Plz tell me sir

Brief Answer: Treatment for pigmentation skin Detailed Answer: Hi I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same. Now your concern is regarding skin pigmentation . First of all, I would like to tell you that we can improve ones complexion only to a certain limit with medicines. We can only help to overcome any tanning or other pigment disturbance in the skin. You have been using skinlite cream over your face since last few years. Now although this is a good agent and is widely used by doctors all over but it has to be strictly used under medical supervision . We do not advise our patients to use it more than three months at a stretch. So I would advise you to stop it's application immediately . Now as far as the pigmentation is concerned, kojivit cream which contains kojic acid and vitamin c is a much safer alternative and can be used continously for as long as required. You can start it's application and it can be applied twice a day over the pigmented areas. In addition , take oral vitamin c 500 mg tablet once a day . Also you should always use a good medicated sunscreen so as to prevent any tanning of skin and to see good results. Hope it helps Please ask if you need any further clarifications Dr Geetika Paul

Brief Answer: Use of medicines Detailed Answer: Hi again You can buy tablet Celin 500 mg and take it once a day in the morning after meals. You can use neutrogena spf 50 dry touch sunscreen everytime before going out in the sun. As far as the use of facial cleansers is concerned, you can use any mild soap like dove or any mild face wash like cetaphil face cleanser . Dr Geetika Paul
