Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting your query.
I understand your concern. I have seen the image but a visual examination cannot help us arrive at a conclusive diagnosis.
The only way of definitely knowing whether its leukoplakia, lichen planus or just a manifestation of geographical tongue is through a punch biopsy.
I would suggest that you consult an otorhinolaryngologist who can examine the lesion and do a punch biopsy, if required. You can also request for one so that you can definitively know what is going on.
I would be available for any follow up queries.
I hope I have answered your query. Please accept my answer if you have no further follow up queries.
Regards.

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for following up.
I really cannot say for sure what I think without a visual examination. It needs a detailed careful examination.
Leukoplakia and lichen planus are raised but in very early stages they are flat.
I hope, I have answered your query. Please accept my answer if you have no further follow up queries.
Wish you good health.
