Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to Thoracic outlet Syndrome (which is a rib compressing your arm veins)or to increased venous pressure.
Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and performing some tests:
- a chest X ray study, coupled with a Doppler ultrasound of the arm arteries and veins.
- a cardiac ultrasound ( which helps examine also the central venous pressure).
A wrong posture or a job which needs repetitive arm movements can also mimic this clinical situation.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!
Kind regards,
Dr.Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
