Question : i am having sudden increase in my blood pressure, yesterday, the BP was in range of 152/104 with acute head ache (just above right eye) and since morning my BP today is around 1140/100. I am regularly taking olmighty 20 mg as BP medicine as prescribed. taking this since last 2.5 yrs. I am 44 yes old, at 81 kgs, height 5 ft 7 inches (173cms) non smoker( quit smoking 6 yes back) and from last six months no liquor. no Junk food ( covid impact) moderate excercise and not much of stress as of now

Hello,

Well, the sudden increase in blood pressure needs to be further checked, preferably by your doctor in the clinic, and some serial blood pressure recording at a routine interval in sitting, lying down position as well as standing position needed to be done...Along with this, a few routine investigations, i.e. CBC, KFT, Electrolytes, 12 lead ECG and Chest X-ray should be done to look into it further...

Based on the findings, your doctor may adjust the dosage of the Olmighty tablet or reintroduce another antihypertensive medication as well...
As of now, you may take one more 20mg dose of Tab Olmighty, and inform your doctor as well for further management...Take a strictly salt-restricted diet and no fried/junk/processed foods...
